Recipes

The first commandment of recipes is unless you are going to keep them in order and use them on a fairly regular basis, don't collect them in the first place! Chances are you already have a bulging box or drawer of yellowing, never used clippings now.

For those recipes you do use, make your own personal cookbook. Buy a large three-ring binder and a box of clear plastic sheet protecters. Fill the binder with the protectors and divide your recipes into categories such as Main Dishes, Appetizers, Desserts, and so forth. Slip each recipe into the sheet protector; sometimes two or three will fit on one page. Now you have your own customized cookbook which can be expanded or weeded out any time.
